Vidushi Bharathi Pratap

Bengaluru based vocalist Smt. Bharathi Pratap was initiated into Carnatic music in her childhood. She later moved on to Hindusthani Classical singing at the behest of her uncle. She trained with Late Pandit Marutrao Inamdar and Late Pandit Rama Rao Naik before she met Vidushi Lalit Rao, renowned exponent of the Agra-Atrauli gharana

Bharathi Pratap, a graded artiste of the AIR (All India Radio) and Doordarshan. Not only has she been a lead vocalist in several eminent projects, she has performed solo both in her homeland and abroad, including the prestigious Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav in 2015 in Pune and Dover Lane Music Conference in Kolkata in 2019. She is the recipient of the Daughter’s Day Award, 2015, as well as the Rageshree Puraskar, 2020 and was conferred with the coveted title of “Ganashree” at the Sri Guru Puttaraja Puraskara 2017.

As a female maestra, Pratap credits the artists such as Zohrabai Agrewali and Vidushi Lalith J Rao, an outstanding exponent of the Agra-Atrauli gharana (whose tutelage Prathap has studied under and whom she credits for her ‘rebirth’) for reconceiving and reimagining the genre in a way that helps retain its richness, “The blended Dhrupad and khayal gayaki has its own flavour and touch,” she says, adding that pioneering female maestras adopted aspects that suited the female voice while staying within the ambit of the gharana. “I’m one of the blessed students in the lineage of this gharana,” she says.

Yogeesh Bhat

Yogeesh Bhat is an Indian classical percussionist who specializes in Tabla and is recognized as one of the finest tabla artists of the upcoming younger generation of India known for sensitive and thoughtful tabla accompaniment and solo Performances.

Yogeesh was born in a music-devoted family which hails from Sagar, Shivamogga of Karnataka. His tabla lessons began at the tender age of 4 from Vidwan Bhaskar Hegde Muttige and later he pursued it from Pt. Madivalayya Sali. Presently he is mentored and undergoing advanced training from internationally renowned tabla artiste Pt. Ravindra Yavagal and Sri Kiran Yavagal of Bengaluru respectively.

Yogeesh’s keen interest in innovation led him to foray into the fields of Carnatic music and fusion music as well. He is currently undertaking training in the Carnatic thala system under Vidwan K U Jayachandra Rao, a very senior and accomplished Mridangam Vidwan from Bengaluru India. Yogeesh has also received training in Hindustani violin and vocals. Academically he holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Sarang Kulkarni

Sarang Kulkarni, the very talented and multi faceted musician, is one of the most prominent faces of the emerging classical musicians of the new generation. Having shown his genius as a child prodigy, Sarang inherited the art of music from his father Dr. Sudhanshu Kulkarni, internationally renowned scholar – musician and mastered Harmonium at a young age.

Sarang started his education in music at the early age of four. He holds a degree of Sangeet Visharad from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai and presently is perusing M.A. in Harmonium at Shivaji University , Kolhapur . He has an ear for music since his childhood as he was moulded in the ambience of Swara & Taal since his father and mother both are the worshipper goddess of Ganasaraswati. Sarang has been brought up with a vision to shape up him for the world of music. He has won many prizes, performed harmonium solo in the presence of august audience and has won the hearts of many music lovers. He has many achievements and prizes to his credit and some of them are as follows.

Govt. of Karnataka selected him for junior scholarship in the year 2000. Stood First in India in a National Youth Festival Held at Thiruvananthapuram in the year 2003.
